128 South - Katie & Phil's Pastel Palette

The weather held the perfect amount of sunshine and breeze on Katie and Phil’s wedding day. Katie and Phil said their “I do’s” on the covered deck of 128 South in downtown Wilmington, amongst their closest friends, and family.
Katie’s color palate was a homage to her grandmother, whose love of watercolors was incorporated throughout the day’s event.
Her bouquet most noticeably reflected her color choice by including a wide selection of pastel colored flowers. Katie’s grandmother’s favorite flower was purple daisies, so we were sure to include them along with light pink astilbe, blue thistles, blush colored garden roses, white astrantia, and peach hypericum berries were included in fulfilling out bride’s vision, and Katie looked radiant as she carried them down the aisle.
Flanked on either side by large arrangements, featuring the serenity that comes with such a beautiful array of flowers in pink and blue pastels, Phil and Katie couldn’t have looked more in love as they exchanged their handwritten vows.
Following the ceremony was a reception held inside, where glass bud vases filled with flowers to incorporate the watercolor table numbers were made using the artwork made by Katie’s grandmother, giving the space a personal feel.
Katie and Phil were a joy to work for, and we are beyond happy to have been given the opportunity to make the day come together for them.
