Wrightsville Manor - The King of Tropical

The King Protea is one of the oldest flower species on earth and dates back as far as 3 million years ago. According to Greek legend, it was named after Proteus, the son of Poseidon and was just one of many gorgeous flowers included in Katy and Anthony’s wedding.  Tropical is a fun way to add flare to a wedding and when you add the boldness of the protea, its a sure fire way to be a showstopper on the big day!

On a beautiful Sunday, at one of our favorite venues Wrightsville Manor, their vows were held under an ethereal arbor that felt both tropical and organic with its white orchids dripping down, palm leaves, and a macrame curtain to complete the perfect ceremony.  Inside on the grand mantle, a palm paradise design was the impeccable back drop for the newlyweds sweetheart table. Katy's centerpieces incorporated not only a mixture of various palm leaves, but also cascading white orchids which tied the entire look together in a simple, but elegant way.

She was ecstatic when we unveiled her bouquet to her and said it was “everything and more” with the bold use of the king protea, orchids, and peonies with a pop of hot pink.  It embodied the overall feel of her wedding she dreamed of, making the day one fit for the Gods!
